A Plastic Rose – Build From The Ground Up single review
Snow Patrol, having pulled A Plastic Rose into the spotlight in early 2012 and having played to crowds of up to 34,000, have given this band the lucky break all bands need. This single is one of four to be released before the big debut LP launch in March.
With comparisons to Biffy Clyro, Snow Patrol and Foo Fighters it's clear they cover a variety of genres however through an almost Frank Turner call to arms buried in needling guitars and arena sized vocals.
That being said the Irish bent to the track defines its individuality and there's talent aplenty and I'm sure that a more melodic approach would have done them justice. This band does deserve the respect they have acquired and they are certainly unique. The big question is one of self-existentialism that only they can answer.
