Sweet Indie-folk
York five piece Young Believers cite influences from Bert Jansch and Television amongst others and they produce an honest, earthy blend of sweetly melodic folk with little touches of other sounds blended in for texture. Their recent two song release is utterly charming; opener Man Vs Nature the more upbeat of the two, angles more towards indie, with the acoustic guitar at the core underpinned by a great melody and a smattering of banjo, which is never a bad thing. Final track, Fear Walks With You has a moody bitter sweet feel; husky vocals and nicely picked guitar carry the subtle vocals singing a tune that really gets under your skin, this track is the one that really hits the spot and makes you return for more.
