Weezer-Beverly Hills
It's by no means their best single so far, but personally, I don't think that's the aim of 'Beverly Hills' anyway. It simply exemplifies a most basic, and yet brash pop song, which wont fail to disappoint those of an irony loving nature. To be honest, because of its catchy verses, pounding bass, and simple paint-by-numbers chords, it really doesn't matter if you get that the joke is actually on you or not, you'll enjoy it anyway. This is a very catchy song, and it will become engrained in peoples subconscious's for weeks and weeks: it's a sure fire winner. In the company of its entertaining video; featuring playboy bunnies galore; it will of course bring them their biggest and most commercial hit to date, but again, of course, not their best. In short, it won't change the face of the post-grunge alternative rock scene, but it's catchy and fun,and people will love it.
