Coming to a Town near you...
Still glowing from the success of their recent performance at The Great Escape, Towns release Just Everything, their psychedelic ode to rumbling basslines and warped, swirling riffs. It's a trippy, nonchalant musing of, well, just everything we guess.
In this intimidatingly broad subjective challenge, they emanate the alt rock of the eighties and nineties, twinned with the cool indifference of the hipster pop emerging from exotic far Eastern (London) climes. While they may bear the likenesses of classic Suede or The Charlatans fare, Towns will have no problem when they join this year's Dot-To-Dot Festival line-up in Bristol. Like a Hackney Hero sporting an ironic t-shirt, the Towns vibe also sits well amongst the melodic style of The History of Apple Pie, and the edginess of Eagulls.
Ticking so many influential boxes means that this band pack quite a powerful appeal and it's no surprise they've picked up one of those 'ones to watch' tags on their musical journey. With a number of live dates popping up across the country this summer maybe they should be one to add to your priorities list.
