Addictive Atmospherics

We love this new single from Bristol four piece Flights; it's weighty, heady and addictive and has been a fixture on our playlist all this week (and no doubt it'll be there for many more to come).

The lead track of the three, Eleven, is epic and atmospheric, full of tricksy rhythms and soaring sing along vocals. There's a touch of post-hardcore to this one; boasting thunderous guitars and nicely melodic in all the right places, but it's also full of texture and atmosphere. Track two, Self-facilitating Media Node is more of an interlude - short and gentle; showing us they can also do delicate and moody when they feel the urge. The final track of the three, Home Alone 5 is a lesson in working the best of post-rock dreaminess and atmospheric builds into a four minute belter - complex timings, techy guitar work and dense layers back a simple but effective vocal line, impressive stuff.
