Holy Moly

Brighton's Holy Vessels seem to have got their seasons mixed up, releasing their debut single Springtime Bloom in July, the height of summer. Despite this obvious error it may have just nicely played into their hands, as this 3 and a half minute track has a fine feel good factor that fits into the summer feeling perfectly.

Mixing acoustic with electric guitars, chilled out melodic vocals and even a cameo from a piano at the end all combine to make Springtime Bloom a true summer classic. The only surprise here is just how come it has taken the south coast boys so long to release their debut as they have been knocking around a few years and already can list festivals on the scale of Glastonbury on their CV. I guess there is a lesson to be learnt here, there's no need to rush and, as the vibe of the track suggests, be chilled, take your time and get it right.

More good news is that the single can be downloaded for free from here.
