Floating On A Cloud

I have to admit, when I read that Holly Drummond's debut EP was recorded entirely in her bedroom, the alarm bells did start to go off, what had I let myself in for? With trepidation, the play button was clicked and instead of hearing the expected rough and amateur sounding EP, my ears were greeted to the sweetest voice this side of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory and produced so well it begs the question does Miss Drummond have a professional recording studio in her room instead of the more traditional bed?

Still in her teens, this artist has picked up a few awards for her singer/songwriter abilities including the impressive Burnsong Singer/Songwriter Award for under 25's back in 2011. Now it is time for her music to be released officially to the world in the shape of the 6 track EP, Cloud 9.

Singing songs with far more maturity than your average teenager should have any idea about, they seduce you with their sensitivity and caress you as you join them on an emotional journey, The Hands Of Change being a prime example, powerfully pulling on your heart strings.

Whilst Cloud 9 may not be perfect, it does have all the hallmarks that Holly Drummond is definitely a name to look out for.
