Sweden has always had a good tradition of producing quality bands and that trend continues with the release of Overworld's debut EP Perfect Anomaly.
The 5 track EP kicks off furiously with the powerful Until We're Dead and then goes up a notch with Stellar and already you know this is right up there with Ikea and Bjorn Borg as Sweden's best exports. Paper Heart shows that Overworld have more to them than just your average power metal band, showing bravery to tinker with the tried and tested formula of just going full out all the way through.
The balance of powerful drumming, killer riffs, lead guitar not being over played but there when required, added to the vocals of Endigo, who combines harsh, sinister and harmonic styles perfectly. Throw in some anthemic choruses and some classic "hey" chants and all in all you have an EP that begs the question is this really a debut release? Sure it can't be, it is far too polished, far too accomplished? There is no weak track here; all demanding your head bangs along.
Already with an army of loyal fans, calling themselves The Overworld Force, armed with the determination to make Overworld a household name, coupled with the quality music, can only mean we expect to hear a lot more from these guys in the near future.
