Damn Vandals new single from recently released debut
Soaring guitar riffs, a steady bass line and an easily memorable chorus, some of the key ingredients needed to create a single This Amazing .
The riskily titled This Amazing , to the band's relief, really does not disappoint. But that's hardly surprising, with a vocalist who's drawn comparisons to musical royalty like David Bowie and Jim Morrison. It's a song with depth, not your average one dimensional (or directional) pop rubbish whilst still being almost radio friendly. Now don't get me wrong, that doesn't mean it lacks quality and poetic lyrics, it's not every day you hear a song that describes the sky as "Diamond blue".
If you find yourself foot-tapping along to This Amazing then be sure to give B side Trouble With Jesus a listen. It's a divine mix of skillful guitar work and rioting cymbal clashes tied together by the distinctively powerful vocal ability of Jack Kansas.
