Best Ever Five Pounds Spent

We have been impressed with this band since we first crossed paths and Five Pounds proves that Hitchcock Blonde are going to be a force to be reckoned with. From the sheer musicianship quality of all band members to the enticing vocal skills of Ella Grace; one moment she has vocals as seductive as a Cadbury's Flake advert, moving to full on aggression that just makes you scream "hell yeah". The backing vocals should not go without a mention either, especially on Buzz Kill working in perfect harmony and complimenting Ella Grace and the music too.

Hitchcock Blonde, formerly known as Avenge Vulture Attack, bring us a 6 track EP full of pure goodness throughout. From the very first opening fuzzy guitars on Animal and moving on to Baby Knows Best, a slow/fast track that would be impossible not to be jumping around during the chorus, or for the more reserved people out there, tapping your foot - you already know you are on to a winner. All six tracks are enjoyable and leave you demanding more.

Five Pounds has all the hallmarks to be a giant success, it certainly deserves to be. Despite some very stiff competition, this is my EP of the year - unless something crops up at the last moment.
