Feel-good hit of the Summer

It's been a long few years without the Eels since 'Shootenanny', but now they return with the single 'Hey man (Now You're Really Living)' from their hotly anticipated new album 'Blinking Lights and Other Revelations'.

Mr. Everett rekindles the chirpy pace and fun beats and vocal inserts that make up that classic Eels sound. It's a groovy little single that lilts along quite happily in it's own short playing time. Has everything an Eels track needs, soft 60's melody, cool jangly guitars and dance-along drums, raises a smile on the first listen and really attracts your ears on subsequent plays.
They never fail to lift up a soggy day, there's nothing better than an Eels record to get you moving again, an alternative outlook that always with a clarity that's been missing for so long in music. The way music should be, insightful feel-good hits, here's another to add to the collection.
