Set To Conquer All

Strap yourself in and get ready for a full throttle ride that will leave you breathless and begging for more as Emp!re's debut EP, the aptly titled Birth unleashes a full scale attack that is certain to get people's attention. EP opener Cross My Heart doesn't so much kick things off as grab you by the scruff of the neck, tie you to a juggernaut and proceed to pummel you at high speed. Blasting with a hook heavy rush of riffs that embed themselves under your skin, Cross My Heart is unapologetic rock at its best; bursting with a feel good vibe, bouncing with infectiousness and begging for you to head bang along whilst joining in with the anthemic striving chorus that won't let you sit on the side lines merely watching. Imagine Iron Maiden with a splash of Sunset Strip rock in the same vein as Hinder and a touch of Papa Roach and Shinedown nestled in for good measure and you have the rock ethos that dazzles throughout Emp!re's sound. Puzzle Pieces may start out life at a slightly slower pace but things quickly kick up a gear as the same blend of catchy hooks mingle with melodic harmonies and pulsating beats to culminate in an ending of just the band singing unaccompanied; simply brilliant.

Exciting, refreshing and energetically engaging, Emp!re are the band that you need to discover now. From the thrilling blast of All The Rage that manages to sound appealingly new and individual whilst still wearing the band's influences on its sleeves to the foot tapping tenderness of My Colour Optimistic (Alternative Version) that shows that whilst Emp!re might have concerned the fast, intoxicating rock rush market to perfection, the British quintet can also do mellow, laid back rock with just as much class.

With Birth available as a free digital download via the band's Bandcamp page, there really is no reason not to check Emp!re out right now, you'll only kick yourself later when everyone else is raving about them and you're left to jump on the band wagon at the last minute, get aboard now before they conquer all.
