Seeds of Foolishness is for the old skool metal heads!
When you've been in the metal scene for over 25 years you've seen bands come and go, you've seen the ones stick and the bands who have just fizzled away...people probably remember when Limp Bizkit were good.
Extrema were established in 1987 and have gone from strength to strength ever since, showing that unlike other bands they haven't had to release an album every single year since their conception to remain on the scene this is their 6th effort and although I'm not familiar with their work I imagine it's one of their greatest.
Starting with Between the Lines and leading onto Politics this album is off to a truly metal start and would be a must have for the old school metal heads. Their style of metal is obvious to everyone that it was established in the late 80s, it has that Metallica feel to it, especially in their newly released single Pyre of Fire
The long ass riffs that are customary for metal songs are absolutely rife in this album from The Distance to Deep Infections. While this album does have some good points, it has that feel that most metal albums have. It just doesn't know when to shut up on one song and move onto the next. Half of these songs would be great if they didn't drone on.
The end of the album A Moment of Truth offers something a little slower for listeners, which is quite a relief, to begin on something fast and carry on like that all the way through can get boring. This song ends the album and makes it not just another metal album but a piece of art and almost manages to create an anthem at the end. This would get a lot of crowds going at live shows.
