Indie Music Making In It's Purest Form

Proving that there is much more to Essex then spray tans and wannabe Z list celebrities, Showbizheroes have taken indie rock and given it a twist, adding a dash of darkness to give a teasing bite to those dance inducing beats resulting in a 12 track debut album guaranteed to show all that TOWIE does not define the County.

Taking indie music back to the basics, Tales From Behind The Curtain is "old school" indie music making to the very core. Recorded partly in a greenhouse amongst tomato plants and compost having learned the recording process off the internet, Showbizhereos have done literally every aspect of the recording process themselves, a feat that should be applauded by itself alone. On paper it sounds like a recipe for disaster but throw in an album of engaging, exciting and professionally polished tracks that still manage to retain that raw vibrancy, and the Essex lads have accomplished something most established bands spend a fortune on. Tomorrow Never Goldfinger gets things underway offering a catchy riff line woven between infectious synths and vocals that soothe and tantalise in equal proportion, perfectly setting up the feel of the album and encouraging you to turn the volume up and keep listening for more. This is just a taster of things to come; Saving Grace is an emotion cladded anthem that tugs at the heart strings before escalating into a chorus that explodes and invites all to sing along whilst L.O is a stomping barrage of riffs that all but struts and preens for your listening pleasure. Indeed Tales From Behind The Curtain seems to cover it all from the passion fuelled emotional ballad to the rocking anthem through to the catchy blast of indie that has stolen some pop hooks and made a quick getaway, it is all here making for an engaging album that won't bore. Maybe She's An Angel for instance wanders into Matchbox Twenty territory, a ballad type track that oozes emotion from each note before giving way to the chugging rock riffs of Henry's Song that stamps and stomps like a petulant teenager encouraging all to relive their youth before the infectiousness of Climb To Fall strolls in begging for a sunny day to capture all.

Showbizhereos are not trying to rewrite the alternative genre, instead they are doing what they do best and making music that they enjoy, in turn you'll be hard pressed not to enjoy all 12 tracks Tales From Behind The Curtain has to offer.
