American Fangs - Pomona
Texan rockers American Fangs are ready to take on the UK with the release of their debut EP; Pomona.
From the get go, it is clear that Pomona is going to deliver plenty of punk rock attitude. The title track, is also the opening track; it is instantly likeable, the chorus is catchy and the when the track ends you are left wanting more.
Closing track Le Kick has a big sing along chorus, which will get lodge in your brain and stay there for days on end. This track is unpolished compared to the other four tracks on Pomona, it has a gritty, dirty sound but makes the perfect closing track for a punchy five-track EP.
Sorry seems a little out of place; as nice as it is and as much as it shows off frontman Gabe Cavazos's voice, the acoustic number does not sit nicely with the other for tracks on Pomona.
Pomona is a brilliant introduction to American Fangs, they've recently toured the UK with Papa Roach and now I'm sorry to have missed them, a mistake not to be repeated in 2014.
