Slick and slinky, pulsing and throbbing - it's dance rock and here to stay
Get. Your. Jig. On. Can you say Bloc Party/New Order influence? This band have all the makings of NME favourite band of the year, they have their boyish charm, the swagger, the attitude, the danceable guitar lines and this track is key and memorable in all the right places. All the members are heavily involved in the overall sound, instrumentation doesn't lack in any area nor does production with slick and garage quality maintained at the same time. Imagine a funkier White Stripes bred with the Strokes, that's just how cool and hip it is to roll this bands name off your tongue right now. Can Domino do no wrong since Franz Ferdinand? Rough Trade better watch it's back...
This right here will inspire many a young man with a long fringe and a leather jacket to go out and start a band, break out his battered, tattered jeans and haul his arse onto the nearest indie rock club night dance floor. At the very least providing a very good soundtrack for his pulsing, inebriated Pete Doherty style night out, except, with some class and pizzazz and a distinct lack of supermodels.
British music of the moment right here in a messy little appealing package, go buy some Test Icicles.
