Too Many Over-Written Songs!
New kids on the block, Diggeth hailing from the Netherlands have hit the scene with their first release- an EP entitled 'One More Yesterday'.
One More Yesterday opens with a slow, southern rock solo and eventually turning into a mammoth, stoner rock anthem, not sounding dissimilar to 'Hole In The Sky' by the mighty Black Sabbath, this song, however seems a little weak apart from the main riff, the chorus and verses and quite weak, this song seems quite a filler to be honest, nothing special.
'Heavy Heart' is a melodic, mid-paced, five minute rocker, catchy as hell, this would've probably made a more suitable single than the latter!
'No Man's Land' is again, a mid-paced but hard and heavy song, not particularly strong, but isn't too bad.
For a debut album, 'One More Yesterday' is not all that impressive, the songs drone on for what seems forever when they could be reduced to two or three minutes and you would have a sweeter, more easy to listen to version of the songs. Maybe Diggeth haven't yet discovered their sound, but for now until they do, this is average at best.
