Debut single for quartet In So Far
In So Far are Casket Records latest signing and Britain's newcomers to the music industry. After recording this very single in at Animal Farm studio's in London, Casket Records signed the band without second thought. The In So Far are now to release this three-track single upon the UK public towards the end of October.
Despite claiming to be a band producing pop-punk I would much disagree with this since each track of 'The Fall' single has a more British Foo Fighter's sound to it. Title-track 'The Fall' begins the single with a rather fast pace although the main part of the song brakes into something much slower. Vocalist Paul Brigstock has the voice that keeps hope in all British vocalists who hope to achieve a vocal sound that isn't whiney or American.
'Drowning' is a song that has an older metal/rock with a chorus that reminds of something Iron Maiden would write, especially with the harmonies and the solo towards the end. But with all seriousness it's great to see a band meddling with the sounds of British Rock and finding something that's not often heard. Despite final track 'Chocker' being slightly weaker compared to the other two songs, In So Far's debut single is certainly something that promises much more from a band who are only just a year old.
