Hurtlocker, A metal band from Chicago have been making a name for themselves recently, touring with established metal acts around the world are here with their debut album which goes by the name of 'Fear In A Handful Of Dust'. They seem to be loved for their onstage performance, but can this be displayed on disc?
Once the first track 'Symptoms' finishes, you realise how good Hurtlocker's technical abilities are, a lot better than most of the material average metalcore acts are churning out nowadays.
There seems to be no weak link of this album at all, all the tracks impress the listener with their heavy hooks, yet insane technical ability. The listener is sucked in for a 31 minute ride of pounding, crushing, violent metal music.
Be you a fan of Chimaira, Lamb Of God, Slayer, whatever. Pick up this album, you just find it to be one of the best albums of the year.
