Dirty Perfect EP
Rich Fennaux (lead vocalist) was born in London, bought up in New Zealand and ended up in Cardiff. Hmm, interesting life you may say. Probably a contributing factor why Dirty Perfect are such an interesting sounding band.
Considering the four piece have only been around since August of last year (give or take a tweak or three), they squeeze out a pretty astonishing sound. What they bring to the table is something like the Cure and the Alarm with dare I say it, a smidgen of early U2 guitars (when they were a bit decent). It's an intelligent blend of Alt rock and Punk pop. Not modern spotty little fuck punk pop, but of the superior McCluskey type with some absolute killer guitar. It's all viscously catchy, once you've heard the likes of 'Condo Royale' and 'Nothing In Between', you ain't gonna be able to keep yourself bouncing around the walls and shouting the lyrics loudly on public transport.
