Another blonde girl group for the masses.

With the current overflow of almost identical looking, equally bland sounding and frankly boring R&B girl bands floating around in the charts these days, you'd think that the world couldn't possibly need or want anymore. Apparently not, you'd be surprised as yet another one of these bands climb their way up the charts with a stereotypically R&B single, packed with equally bland remixes, your average cocky young woman attitude and the same old appearance of some unknown rapper supposed to spice things up a bit while in actuality, only making the song worse.

Still, they're good for their genre and will do incredibly well to appeal to young teenage disco goers everywhere. It's just that there's nothing outstanding in what they do as compared to other similar bands floating around in the charts and it just seems like everyone is copying everyone else these days. Maybe in time this all-girl band may grow to create something a little more different and more refreshing, but for now they retain a very bland and overdone sound, a sound so typical of such bands as Atomic Kitten and Pussycat Dolls. Equally, all of the remixes contain that same repetitive beat, only occasionally stepping outside of the box and using a raga style (although not too unique here either as this, again, is something often used within R&B) to create an ethnic Indian flavour or completely synthesising everything up into a real dance track as is the case with the 'Love To Infinity' mix. It just sounds like it could all be blended together and you would hardly notice any difference between any of the tracks, it's just your average same-old chart music.

Of course it is catchy and will appeal to youngsters internationally, but if The Sirens are looking to reach a much more mature audience, they're currently not likely to do so.
