Live In Your Living Room

The Vertigo tour is still going on and will finish in the United States in December, before hitting the southern hemisphere in 2006 and a tour of Japan. Then there are those who saw them live over the summer, with the memories of what a fantastic gig we had seen. Whichever category you fall into this is a must have DVD as it will either bring back many great memories or will give you a flavour of what you are about to see.

The live performance was recorded over two days, 9th and 10th May 2005 at the Chicago United Center. With a set list of twenty three songs there is no way that the viewer is being sold short. As you are getting a two hour performance from the Dublin boys, with Bono well just being Bono.

This DVD has something for everyone who loves U2, from the opening with the light show that is 'City of Blinding Lights' crashing straight into 'Vertigo' and 'Elevation'. The DVD does not miss anything off from the set lists that we all saw, liked and loved. So there are the old live classics included too such as 'Cry/Electric Co', 'An Cat Dubh/Into The Heart' and '40'. As well as a good smattering of songs from 'How To Explode An Atomic Bomb'. Then there are the songs that you would expect such as, 'Beautiful Day', 'New Year's Day', 'Sunday Bloody Sunday', 'One', 'Pride' and 'Where The Streets Have No Name'.

The Deluxe DVD spans two discs: the full live show, directed by Hamish Hamilton - director of both U2's previous million selling live DVDs - plus an additional disc of bonus material including Beyond The Tour, an intimate behind the scenes documentary and startling 'surveillance cuts' of the Chicago show. Filmed using four remotely controlled black and white infra-red surveillance cameras, the footage offers a totally different perspective on the show.

Whether you buy the deluxe DVD or the normal DVD, no fan will be disappointed by what they have. This will bring back so many happy memories of being in U2's presence as they put on the greatest show on earth. This DVD is the evidence to the doubters who cannot see why they are the biggest band in the world today it proves that there are currently no bands or artists that can even get close. This is a must have for any U2 fan, go out and get it today!
