Don't quit!
'Reagan' is boring, the song sounds like Graham Coxon really, really slowed down. However, skip track to 'Memory' and you get what you want. The sound is that of a fast forward playground - kids playing hop scotch and break dancing. Reminiscent of Cake and other early 80's genre fusion bands, this tune sounds suitably old school and modern. 'Macho Man' is nicely catchy in the same frame as 'Memory'; the focal point being the geek rock vocals and Weezer-esque drumming.
'I Fucked Up Reagan' is a brilliant Sup Pop/Saddle Creek-esque number that I bet everyone who's ever worshipped at the altars of Oberst, Cuomo and Adams would love with its honest, delicate, warm fluid acoustic indie. Stark and to the point, this is an EP worth getting; a welcome introduction for anyone who hasn't already encountered this band.
