CZAR CREEK GET GONE

I quite enjoy listening to this one (yep, still chuck it on the player). I was expecting another indie rock yawnfest, pleasantly surprised. These Brighton chaps have come up with a pleasant jangly jolly type of pop rock. They remind me a bit of Franz Ferdinand if they were slapped by the Jazz hoodoo. Funky bassline add to the overall nicely constructed sound. It all holds together well. It's all very relaxed with lead singer sounds like Jim Morrison on mogadon throughout, especially on 'between the peaches', so laid back he's practically a carpet.

It's not the most exciting thing I've ever heard but it's got catchy riffs like the chorus on the title track 'GET GONE', I find myself singing that at bus stops and I love the ska inspired bit in there, nice harmonica, a much under used instrument. The guitar on 'DON'T FORGET THE MONEY' is also a highlight, mm fuzzy; yeah that'll do for starters.

I reckon these'll be worth keeping a future eye on.
