The Second Coming.

Rock is back! Grow your hair long and shake your head up and down, put Wayne's World on the DVD, form your fingers into devil horns and don a Wolfmother T-shirt. This is where it's at; it's Easter 2006 and a form of music that's been dead for thirty years resurrects itself in glorious fashion. Think big, think Led Zeppelin, think Black Sabbath, and know that Wolfmother matches the majesty of these said bands.

'Dimension' is epic with its pentatonic smashing riffs, its pummelling drums and its powerful vocal wizardry. It's a quick and sharp pure rock tune and it doesn't miss a trick, all the rules of the rock handbook are followed and broken at the same time, Wolfmother are gonna get noticed, Wolfmother are gonna be big.

More than merely filling a gap in the market that's been present for a very long time, this band are doing what they were created to do; they don't sound as if they're imitating anyone, they sound as if they've used a time machine and come here from the 70s equipped with their unadulterated rock ethos that hasn't worn with the fickle swerves of time. Music's been watered down over the past few decades but Wolfmother's the neat spirit without a doubt!
