Surprisingly good stuff from Fightstar

Shock horror! Fightstar have released a single worth listening to in the form of 'Hazy Eyes'. For once Charlie Simpson is right when he says it, "doesn't technically fit into its [the album's] concept" - musically, it's a brave effort and the dual vocals work to good effect. It's a damn sight better than the likes of Grand Unification, a feat given the piano melody thrown in for good measure; it might be rather far fetched to suggest this is a significant departure, but the song shows maturity.

Whether the band are famous for the quality of their music or simply the Busted connection remains to be seen, but even the quality newspapers are praising this song. Indeed, it's easy to see why Simpson fought for this to be included on the album; more of these and Fightstar might just start justifying the surrounding hype.
