People of the earth, listen up. The Young Knives are what's coming next, get into it!

Lots of talk about this band, what's it all about then? Well, this is old-school punky, brash vocals, like Phil Daniels on 'Parklife', with elements of the modern one-note-hitting riffs that have worked for the likes of Franz Ferdinand etc. This is sneering, jeering, sing-along stuff, imaginable at a gig with a front-row of crazed loons chanting back the lyrics and punching the air with clenched fists.

It's quite good music though, they've certainly got an ear for tune and the other songs that aren't the single have some very nice melodies and good vocal lines. It's angular and jilted; tilting one way and then the other and always keeping you on your toes. It's the natural progression of the current scene, from The Furutreheads et al to this, the next step. This is the way it's going and therefore you better get in on it. Now!
