J'adore tu

Bossa nova soft-pop is the order of the day on this delightfully dreamy single from Brighton/London seven piece Stars Of Aviation. Condensing their collective love for Brel, Gainsbourg and good old-fashioned twee indie pop into something exquisite it's hard to believe that this single was recorded one cold, wet weekend in a North London studio.

You can imagine taking a leisurely stroll through the boulevards of Paris, iPod in tow, lover's hand in yours to this absolute gem of a tune. Stars Of Aviation paint themselves here as the off-spring of a perfect union between early Belle and Sebastian and Nouvelle Vague. This languid affair is perfect in every respect, from the breathy boy/girl vocals to the delicately picked acoustic guitar motif that forms the song's backbone. Jazzy drums and un-obtrusive accordion round off the delicately layered mix that's as sweet, tasty and French as a warm pain au chocolat.

The sparse, Decemberists flavoured war-time love song 'All Quiet On The Western Front' is similarly impressive indicating that 'Stars Of Aviation' are potential indie heroes and heroines in waiting. This single will be available as a digital download from iTunes et al and also as a limited edition 7" single.
