Just say it, The Feeling are your guilty pleasure of the year and along with housewives up and down the country you are finding that you too are singing along to the band who have stepped forward to reclaim pop for the rock folk. Sure, it's all a bit Supertramp meets 10cc with a scraping of Queen but unless you're a trend-following music snob whose main goal in life is to sneer at all those bands who just don't make it onto your cool radar, then who really cares?
'Never Be Lonely' sees Dan Gillespie-Sells and co continuing to churn out the sweet feel good melodies they have mastered, coupling them with chirpy vocal harmonies that simply allow the track to glide with a summery sheen. It's MOR catered for the general radio public and although it may veer slightly down the cheesy route, there is no escaping its allure and sheer addictiveness. So for all you rock elitists out there I dare you not to sing along as Gillespie-Sells goes all acappella on us in the chorus stuttering away with "b-b-b-baby, I think I'm going c-c-c-crazy". You might as well surrender now.
