A Rich Mix

'House Of The Rising Rat Vol.1' is the first compilation album from BronzerAt. Gallon Drunk and Dan Sartain make a return with exclusive tracks just for this album, which features a mix of prog, blues and rock and roll.

This album features a wide mix of artists, from various locations; Charles Campbell-Jones features along with Gemma Ray and Chicano. This compilation doesn't really cater for my tastes, but there is a good mix of sounds on here, and if you want a break from the normal genres you listen to, then this could be the way to do. Brown Magic's track 'Big Baby Bear' is particularly strange, I'm not really sure how to describe it, it has a very bizarre mix of sounds, and quite frankly, it gave me a bit of a headache. Next up is Richard Swift who sounds like a mix between David Bowie and Bing Crosby. This is a very well put together album, and all the different genres are nicely muddled up on here rather than being clumped together in section.

This is an interesting release, I don't see it having great chart success but if you want to listen to some different sounds other than what's clogging up the radio airwaves this could be worth checking out.
