Sam Duckworth has come a long way over the last couple of years, his hard touring schedule has paid off in dividends, firstly through getting signed to Atlantic Records and then followed up with high profile festival appearances such as Download.

'The Chronicles of a Bohemian Teenager (Part1)' is his second single for Atlantic and follows on from the critically acclaimed 'I Spy'. It begins as a gentle acoustic song for the first couple of verses before it speeds up and acquires an electronic sounding beat box backing.
The vocals are clean, sharp and urgent and it's just as well because without them there's not a great deal that stands out about this track. It doesn't really go anywhere, it's pleasant enough and creates a nice light feel but little beyond that. Duckworth is unique in his approach and no doubt that's part of the reason for his success but the problem with this single is quite simply that it's not that good a tune.

I've heard nothing but good reports from those that have seen Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly live and I don't doubt that he has better material to offer, 'The Chronicles of a Bohemian Teenager (Part1)' just doesn't do much as a stand alone track.
