52 Teenagers - 3am
Mancunian newcomers 52 Teenagers, have already been labelled 'the hottest new band from Manchester' and have been compared to the likes of Foo Fighters and Jimmy Eat World, now they release their debut single '3am' but fear not, it's not a dodgy Busted cover.
Unlike Charlie Simpson and co. cheesy pop rock track of the same name, this has progressive accepts, and when paired with Neil's voice it makes a nice piece of rock music, the other nice thing about this band is that they don't try to sound American, with their B-side 'Safe Sex' sounding like it could have been taken from a back catalogue of Muse tracks.
This is a great debut release and it gives all the indie and emo kids something much heavier to chew on, '3am' has a distinctive British feel to it and is definitely worth a listen.
