Brits Fight Back
In terms of hardcore scenes, the UK has been somewhat behind our American counterparts. Now with communities erupting everywhere the genre of hardcore is getting a swift reinvention. Salisbury's Your Creation are a band that seem to be have everything going for them. After notching up shows with everyone from Dry Kill Logic to hardcore legends Agnostic Front, these newcomers seem at the top of their game.
Debut album The Line Ends Here opens with the brutal 'With Confidence' that takes props from hardcore giants like Hatebreed and Terror. Whilst 'Consumed' sounds like Bloodlined Calligraphy taking on the late, great Give Up The Ghost. 'Fall Down' has the Bane-like speed going against the Throwdown aggression.
This has all the staple ingredients of a hardcore album: solid riffage, gang vocals and punishing breakdowns. Each song hits you like a baseball bat to the head and doesn't let up.
In a time when the genre is dominated by the US, it is a relief we Brits can do just as good if not better than the Yanks when it comes to hardcore.
Impressive piece of home grown UK hardcore that is swift and deadly. A solid act that have the potential to be huge.
