Get out of that coma! Electronic music's back with a bang! 1 half or Orbital returns!

One half of the brotherly duo Orbital Paul Hartnoll has come back with stomping new single 'Patchwork Guilt' and it, and it's B-side 'Gloopy' are songs to remind you of exactly that original exhiliration you felt the first time a piece of awesomely atmospheric and energetic dance music hit you!

This stuff is like Aphex Twin given a commercial makeover by someone with the street-credibilty of Liam Howlett... And apart from being perfectly suited to the radio it is also the kind of music that will get anoyone, absolutely anyone moving, as well as anyone, absolutely anyone listening.

'Patchwork Guilt' opens with a cute stanza of soft synthy sound that leads up into an amazing beat and pulsating rhythmic balance of bass and bangaing anthemic style, with a pause and re-entry that takes you to a euphoric place, and an overall feeling that you just can't get rid of, you know this is the stuff.

'Gloopy' too is equally fantastic, maybe even more encapsulating, it has a punky drive with a little distorted guitar-like sound which leads into a beautiful synthetic voice phase, reminiscent of the brilliant use of vocals on 'Windowlicker'. In short, this is one of the most exciting things to have happened in electronic music in years, Paul Hartnoll is back, it's time to come out of your psychosis and rejoin the party.
