Its only rock n roll.

'Take This Heart' may sound on the surface that it may be an early contender for the Valentines day market but never fear, its actually a chest beating and swaggeringly arrogant (in a rock n roll kind of way)track from IV Thieves, which should lay a further marker down for the band before their upcoming album release.

Its classic rock that you will be banging your head to over and over again, it may not deviate much from the template but the riff works well, the vocals are passionate and likely to get you involved and just when you felt that the drums were not going to get a sizeable airing, the track closes with a big drum-roll finish and everyone in the band has a reason to be happy with their performance.

And for some people, that's going to be more than good enough. Obviously, some folk would prefer a bit more variety and in the slower and janglier feel of 'Won't Be Fooled' as the additional track (you can tell IV Thieves are rock n roll, they still refer to the song as the B-side) should satisfy a few doubters.

Evoking Phil Spectors wall of sound treatment (we said the track offered variety, we never promised it would sound any more modern) the way the drums seem to pound out of the speakers and the build to a climactic chorus offers two different slices of traditional output and whilst it wont offer the detractors much to worry about, its also going to please many people as well.

If you're into old school rock n roll, this will be up your street, if not, tread very carefully.
