Listen up rock fans, you're being treated today to some good ol' ass-kicking tunage

He's Black, he's back, the Pixies' frontman has returned with this dollop of high-octane in-your-faceness, and it's sweet. Brash and unadulterated Frank Black crashes back onto the scene in a fireball of brass gonads, its fierce and funny and fabulous. The song is most reminiscent of 'Debaser' if it had to be likened to something in The Pixies' back catalogue, white-knuckle pace, screeched vocals, and the obligatory harmonious female backing swooning there behind. Bootiful.

Hard-nosed jump-start music's seeping back into a scene staled by softies like The Feeling etc., but with Queens of the Stone Age's new stuff seriously rawking for example, and this, Mr. Black's return being superbly all up in yo hissy, it's gonna be an exciting summer for us rock-hard rock fans.
