Summery funk.

Money Mark may be a new name to many ears but he has in fact been an active member of the music industry for fifteen years, initially as a producer and background musician for acts such as the Beastie Boys and Banyan and later as a solo artist. In 1995 his first, relatively obscure, solo album 'Mark's Keyboard Repair' appeared and he released seven further albums and EPs in the following twelve years; the most recent being 'Brand New By Tomorrow', featuring single 'Pick Up The Pieces'.

Mark's solo music is recognized as combining an electic mixture of styles, most notably funk, soul and rock. 'Pick Up The Pieces' has elements of all three in its sexily smooth beat, jazz keyboards, laidback guitars and understated vocals. All parts combine to produce something steadily melodic, rythmic and pleasing to the ear. 'Pick Up The Pieces' isn't a big rock anthem to inspire audiences to shout along to its refrain or an atmospheric accoustic number designed to tug at your heart strings; but it does have its own funky charm that renders it an ideal accompaniment to a laidback summer evening.
