Rush out and get this album
The renowned American rock trio Rush are back with a brand new studio album, their first in early five years, packed full of brand new material. Rush have always been seen as one of the most inventive and original bands in the business, bringing their very own brand of Americana to the UK, and who could refuse it?
This album is a return to their "glory years" this is really an album that has gone back to the future and will bring them great success across the world. Their music as always is a packed soundscape of emotional rock. Some of the album is a throw back to their earlier works and 'The Main Monkey Business' is an example of this. They have finally moved away from all that crappy synth rock that they were spewing out in the late 80s.
This is an album of proper rock tunes and nothing is a finer example of this than 'Maligant Narcissim' where the guitars soar and there are more hooks than an average fisherman has in his pack!
Lyricist Neal Peart has spent the last decade getting over the death of his wife and daughter, and the emotions that has given him is evident in the writing of this album. This album is well worth adding to your collection - a return of class.
