Out of this world!
The latest single from Ash that they are now a three piece, continues a wonderful musical journey that began over in Wheeler's native Ulster. Released ahead of the new album, people may be shocked by the sound of 'Polaris' as it does not carry that rock sound we have become used to with Ash.
What we see with Polaris is Tim Wheeler candidily narrating a tale of heartbreak. The track was written in the South of France when Tim "happened" to bump in to Bono, which concluded with him staying at Bono's Chateau. It was here that he began to write and play what is now 'Polaris'. The intro is the original recording on Bono's piano, there are still the guitars you would expect with Ash delicately held together with Wheeler's vocals. I have heard 'Polaris' called Keanesque - what an insult - to Ash that is. Lets face it Keane are just shite and Ash have real guitars and sound a damn sight better!
Yet another stonking tune from Ash about to hit the charts in style.
