Insipid country.

Originally from Australia, singer-songwriter Keith Urban (husband of Nicole Kidman) seems to have become something of a musical giant since relocating to America, topping the US country chart numerous times over the last six years; judging by this single though, it's really difficult to understand why.

Urban comes across like a male version of Shania Twain; she could easily have made this insipid middle-of-the-road, mainstream pop ballad with a country twang which has a forgettable tune, weak vocals, and is so slick that it slides out of your grip without leaving any impression (but that can only be a good thing here). Any edges there might have been are so tightly shaved by the over the top production that it leaves the whole track sounding almost muffled. Truly awful.
