Quirky guitar-pop.

Leeds based four piece, Unexploded Shells make guitar pop with a very British sound. This new demo has its roots planted back in Blur era Brit pop days; lazy, dreamy and tuneful; but there's an edge that definitely places them in the here and now alongside bands like Pigeon Detectives.

'High Times' is all quirky, jagged guitars and staccato vocals pumping out a fast paced sweet little tune that's unfortunately, over too quickly, luckily there's more to come and 'If I Could Turn My Back' has a Suedeish edge and a little more staying power; a nice catchy riff gives the tune a bit more punch. Final track, 'End of the Affair', is slow and steady with a dreamy fuzzy quality it's a little less formal and mannered than previous tracks and has a slight melancholy feel.
