Bestival 2007: The Compilation...some of the hottest tunes of the U.K's hottest new festival

This is the compilation of the year without any doubt. Your alphabetical organised guide to one of the most emphatic new festivals to grace the face of Britain. If you were there this makes one great souvenir. If you didn't get round to going, then this is just what you missed out on and maybe, just maybe, it'll persuade you to get off your ass and get some tickets for next years one.

Taking off with one of summer 2007's most exciting discoveries Bonde Do Role and their bouncy electric-pop track "Solta o Frango". Then to Chemical Brothers' "Song To The Siren", a breathtaking dance-track, nothing short of what to naturally expect from these gods of electronica-music. Then along comes one of the highlights of the entire compilation Dan Le Sac Vs. Scroobius Pip "Thou Shalt Always Kill", a revised, more modern and let's just say interesting take on the commandments.

I'm not too blown away by the Dub Pistols' "Gangsters" or Fujiya & Miyagi "Ankle Injuries" but hey, that's life and if I remember rightly, exactly what festivals are all about. Some you like, some you don't like so much it's all about new experiences and .

Mr. Scruff. gets a lot of acclaim and rightly so. "Get A Move On!" is nothing short of a masterpiece.

Disc 2 contains ample doses of delight and splendour. Nic Dawson Kelly kicks it off with his truly unique and incredibly marvellous "The Musician". This is music to mourn the plunge of an ice cream cone to the dirty pavement on a sun scorched day at Blackpool. Along come "Little Fluffy Clouds" and the Orb, flawless repetitive electro-music. Then Primal Scream, "Come Together"; it's just simply Primal Scream; masterful and awe-inspiring.

Swedish pop-queen Robyn had to get her piece in, and it wouldn't be the same without her input. "Konichiwa Bitches" is a kick-ass, catchy song from one of 2007's most exciting talents. Then back to old school with Soul II Soul and their "Back To Life", this is just plain and simple soul music delivered with a degree of passion and conviction.

This is one big collection of tunes from Bestivals' 2007 line-up, there's something in there for everyone, and that's what makes it so goddamn good.
