The world does not need more bland pop-indie singer-songwriters.

American-born but UK-based singer songwriter Terra Naomi rose to fairly low level fame earlier this year due to the popularity of a video of her song 'Say It's Possible' on YouTube (the singer had already released several EPs and albums which failed to chart, however). 'Not Sorry' is taken from her latest album 'Under The Influence', which was released in the UK last month.

Whenever a website feels the need to boast that an artist writes their own songs you know you are in for pop-indie of the blandest kind (since on that of any genuine indie act it would be assumed they would be capable of doing this) and 'Not Sorry' is no exception. It lacks the unashamed cheesy fun of manufactured pop whilst operating in a style far too sugary-sweet for fans of female singer-songwriters such as Ani DiFranco, Feist or Tori Amos. There is none of the anger that led Alanis Morrissette to find a place in many hearts, or the individuality of style that has resulted in the deserved fame of Regina Spektor. Terra does have a strong voice and as far as mediocre pop-indie goes 'Not Sorry''s instruments are arranged thoughtfully, but this is far too predictable and unoriginal to be anything but forgettable.
