Rebelling against excitement, originality and good old quality.

Rebellion is obviously something that has been lost on the young folk of today. Back in the mid 50s it created a new culture of people and in the late 70s it reminded the world that logging on and shutting up wasn't really the answer. When a band calls itself Radio Rebels, then the listener could be forgiven for expecting something different, incendiary and exciting.

“Telescope” has none of the above. It meanders on at a snail's pace and never really kicks into a stride. Rather than raw, the production is saturated to a sickly, overbaked wall of noise with double tracked vocals and lumpy bass. It does have a reasonably pleasant mood and feel, that reminds of some of the unsung heroes of the 1960s, but the honest truth is that this has been done before, and done much better. If you're in love with The Undertones and feel like an updated version then you'll enjoy this. If not then this comes with nothing more than a limited recommendation.
