Depression

Music drenched in thought, dipped in the tyranny of a past and filled with passion and vivid imagery, but it’s definitely an acquired taste. You need to be either severely depressive or to have entirely lost the will to live altogether to find this music comforting or anyway enjoyable.

Soft, almost recitative, vocals from Sheffield’s Neil Mc Sweeney joined by mild, complementary guitar. Very sad and gloomy acoustic music, from probably one of the most miserable men alive, “A Rope To Hang” spells out that this guy has some serious problems.
