Another 40 minutes and this would have been great.

The key thing to remember when producing a single is that the song, no matter how interesting, must have enough clout or chutzpah to leave a lasting impression. 'Foxy Boxer' is a good song that is original, dynamic and starkly different from the majority of stuff out there in the mainstream, but it simply doesn't have the chops to really make it as a single.

One finds themselves taking a good portion of 'Foxy Boxer' to get into the groove (which is there in abundance) which means that by the time the song ends your ready for more. High hopes then for the album, which should give the songs room to breathe, but at it stands, this just isn't suitable formatting. It certainly not bad, in fact its rather good, but as far as listening experiences go, this is somewhat muted. A band to watch certainly, but a decidedly average single.
