Pushbike Army - Four From Alexandra Grove

Pushbike Army are a Leeds based indie/punk band who were recently awarded demo of the week for their debut release by Steve Lamacq of BBC 6 Music. They have been together since early 2006 and have been described as “early Jam, XTC and Buzzcocks”

Their debut release on indie label A590 records is “Four from Alexandra Grove”. This is definitely an honest record. The production isn’t amazing, the songs aren’t breathtaking and it’s not the most original thing you have ever heard but it isn’t ashamed of these things. These three northern lads have the advantage of what many major bands don’t and that is the fresh faced passion to write music they want to write. Title Track “Four From Alexandra Grove” is a great up-beat indie track with a radio friendly, sing along chorus which is bound to get you bouncing.

If you’re a fan of upbeat and honest indie music then get out your Pushbike and join the army!
