A.Human - Black Moon

Alternative electronic-indie merchants A.Human have done themselves no favours here at all with their first single ‘Black Moon’. Why? Because it’s so bloody good you’ll be expecting everything they record for as long as they exist to be at least as competent.

Over the years crossbreeding between keyboard and guitar has lead to the birth of some truly miserable musical abominations and some truly exquisite specimens. And whilst ‘Black Moon’s’ inane lyrical content leaves it open to a little criticism it’s much closer to good than crude. Lead singer Dave Human’s voice shudders and stomps with conviction, playing things so deadpan the fact Jean Claude Van Damme is name checked will barely raise an eyebrow. It’s polished stuff and backed throughout by the filthiest most delicious synths heard since White Rose Movement released their breakthrough single ‘Alsatian’ a few years ago.

This song is like sex in a back alley; dark, dirty, dangerous, depraved and at the same time instantly gratifying.
