The Rivers - She Gives It Around
Whatever it is that ‘she’s giving around’ I think a good few of The Rivers peers could do with some or indeed a lot of it.
Why? Because whilst being seriously short of groundbreaking The Rivers make up for it all with what can only be described as lashings of toe tapping vitality. This is a two minute, super-fast, spiky little number which brilliantly manages to merge flip hot musicianship with raunchy vocals. It’s testosterone personified and has all the hallmarks of a snappy, punchy indie club dance floor filler. It might not hang around for long but for the short space of time it exists in your consciousness it’ll please your ears and if you like to boogy it’ll please your dancing feet immeasurably too.
