Ektomorf – Instinct
Ektomorf (that's another word for ghost) have come a long way from their humble beginnings from their native Hungary. It's no secret that the band heavily worship at the altar of Cavelera and the album is filled with many Sepultura-isms including the patented Andreas Kisser "Keelar" riffs and throaty vocals with a socio-political undertone.
Albeit they do not have the most original sound in the world, Ektomorf have fistfuls of punk attitude that the Seps could only dream of having. "Set Me Free" has a good breakdown and "Instinct" is almost a pissed off rap-thrash hybrid of suppressed rage. "Fuck You All" sounds like a hardcore anthem with a sub-human growl.
As interesting as Ektomorf sound, they replicate Sepultura's vibe but they do it with good taste.
